Flachau situated in the province of Salzburg and surrounded by magnificent
mountains boasts immaculate ski runs, state of the art lifts and modern snow
making facilities. This all helps to ensure excellently maintained pistes,
floodlit skiing and superb apres ski. It benefits from excellent restaurants and bars.
Flachau forms part of the Ski Amade region of Austria which is one of the largest ski area in Europe.
The Ski Amade network consists of over 860km of skiruns and 276 modern ski lifts.
The village is one of several ski resorts centred around the town of St Johann im Pongau
(not to be confused with St Johann in Tirol),which make up the
Ski amadé region. Between them, the four valleys of St Johann, Wagrain, Flachau
and Zauchensee have 320km of largely intermediate cruising, served by more than
120 lifts. They are all covered by the same lift ticket, but not all are
directly linked.Flachau is easly accessible from the A10 motorway and less than
an hour from Salzburg.
